Peran Akuntan Forensik dalam Proses Hukum

Di luar aspek teknis investigasi, akuntan forensik memegang peran yang sangat strategis dalam ekosistem penegakan hukum keuangan. Investigasi global semakin bergantung pada akuntan forensik untuk mengungkap pelanggaran keuangan melalui analisis data, wawancara, dan penilaian pengendalian internal. Para profesional ini berkolaborasi dengan tim hukum, teknolog, dan pakar intelijen untuk mendeteksi fraud, melacak aset, dan mengevaluasi risiko.

Hasil kerja akuntan forensik tidak berhenti pada laporan investigasi internal. Temuan mereka berfungsi sebagai bukti yang dapat diajukan dalam proses persidangan, mendukung penuntutan pidana maupun penyelesaian perdata. Kemampuan untuk menyajikan temuan yang kompleks dan berbasis data dalam bahasa yang dapat dipahami oleh hakim, juri, atau arbiter adalah kompetensi yang membedakan akuntan forensik yang benar-benar efektif dari yang sekadar teknis.
