Preservation of regional culture in a country is an effort to maintain and preserve local cultural heritage so that it remains alive and relevant amidst changing times. The phenomenon of the loss of national culture is a complex issue influenced by various factors, including globalization, modernization, and changes in values in society. The country’s cultural wealth, which includes traditions, arts, languages, and customs, faces serious challenges in maintaining its existence amidst the changing times. Some of the main challenges in preserving regional culture in a country are globalization, lack of interest among the young generation, minimal documentation, and lack of government support. Thus, the purpose of this research is to preserve national culture through blockchain technology. By implementing a blockchain technology-based system, all information from national cultural preservation activities will go through a peer-to-peer validation process before being stored on the blockchain network. The peer-to-peer validation mechanism ensures that information generated by the system will be validated by all stakeholders who are committed to preserving the nation’s culture that is included in the blockchain network. The proposed model uses a blockchain consortium to increase the efficiency of collaboration between institutions involved in preserving regional culture. The research uses a qualitative approach through a literature review. The test results using Hyperledger show that every transaction related to the nation’s cultural preservation activities will be validated by all nodes before being stored on the blockchain network.
