This research aimed to determine the extent to which the public trusts blockchain technology in enhancing government financial management, based on integrating selected constructs from the Technology Acceptance Model and the government factors. This research uses an online survey with Jakartans as its research objects, whose age is between 20 and 40 years old with at least a bachelor graduate. The data analysis uses the SmartPLS software, which follows the SEM-PLS approach. From the study findings, it is evident that trust in government bore a significant influence on citizens’ trust in blockchain solutions. Strikingly, the legal environment did not represent a significant factor in trust, while awareness of initiatives on blockchain had a positive influence on public trust. Perceived usefulness bore positively on trust, and perceived risks bore negatively in driving trust in blockchain solutions. These results, therefore, imply that citizens are ready to trust blockchain for the enhancement of government financial accountability and transparency. Future studies should extend to other variables, such as cultural and economic background, in order to provide further insight into public perception of blockchain technology.
