Cryptocurrency investment decisions have emerged as a critical area of study, reflecting the rapid growth and global acceptance of digital currencies. This bibliometric analysis explores the development of research in this domain, identifying key themes, influential studies, and emerging gaps. The analysis utilizes VOSviewer for mapping co-occurrences of keywords, co-authorship, and citation networks to highlight predominant research areas such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, investor behavior, risk assessment, and market dynamics. Findings indicate that while substantial research has been conducted on market behavior and risk perception, gaps remain in research of Tether and Stablecoin, understanding the psychological aspects influencing investment decisions, such as heuristic biases and herding behavior. Furthermore, there is limited exploration of sustainable investment practices in cryptocurrency markets. These findings suggest avenues for future empirical studies focusing on behavioral finance perspectives, sustainable blockchain technologies, and regulatory impacts on cryptocurrency investment decisions. Addressing these gaps may contribute to more informed decision-making processes, enhanced market stability, and robust regulatory frameworks in the evolving landscape of digital finance.
