Investors are interested in a variety of innovative new investment instruments, including cryptocurrencies, because of the industry 4.0 phenomenon. The purpose of this study is to examine the determinant factors of prospect investors’ intention to adopt cryptocurrency investment platforms in Indonesia using UTAUT as the underpinning theory. This preliminary quantitative research by collecting data through online survey could obtain 85 valid responses. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM 4.1.0.2. The findings confirm the application of UTAUT to explain investing investor’s intention to adopt cryptocurrency investment platform, where effort expectancy, performance expectancy, and social influence significantly direct adoption intention, whereas facilitating conditions did not show a significant effect. The findings enlight the importance of performance expectancy of prospect investor to invest in cryptocurrency investment platforms. Therefore, the researchers provide insightful suggestions to the platforms management and regulatory.
